The journey which shaped me into who I am…
This page covers important milestones of my life in brief. There is always less in more, and more in less while telling your story, but finding the balance is essential.
It all began in 1995…
Birth.
First Birthday
Surat, Gujarat, India
I was born in Surat, Gujarat, India to a middle-class family with a father working hard in the family business with an income barely meeting the family's needs...
I am very grateful to my parents for giving me the best resources.
1998 - 2010 … Every day was a struggle …
Primary to Middle School.
7th Grade
Had my education in this school from the year 1998-2010. People would usually say that they miss their school days but my story was a little different. This school was the best place for me to get demotivated for various reasons...
(I am the second one in the bottom row, from the left)
2011 - 2014 … When life started to turn around …
Associates.
2nd Year of Associates
First self funded research specimens for pull out test.
Instead of high school, I opted to pursue an Associate in Civil Engineering...this is when I got introduced to engineering and finally felt like I am now somewhere I belong.
Those years were completely filled with new learnings, exciting competitions, research on UHMWPE used in the Civil Engineering industry, and an internship to gain experience at a local civil engineering firm...
2014 - 2016
Own firm.
Business Card
...as I grew, my pocket money shrank. To make up for my needs, I started my own firm and did freelancing work with different architects and engineers.
The experience was truly phenomenal and I learned various entrepreneurial skills which would be very helpful in the future.
2016 - 2019
Bachelors.
Graduation, Dec. 21st - 2019
Making concrete samples for research specimens
NDOT Internship - Bridge Construction Inspection
I started my bachelor’s at C.K.Pithawala Institute of Science & Technology, Surat, Gujarat but then moved to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as an international transfer. I completed my Bsc. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Construction management.
...The 3.5 years at the UNL were priceless. These years taught me about many aspects of life and helped me to get ready (responsible & independent) for what this world has to offer me. From excellent education for becoming a good engineer, Internship opportunities, Undergraduate research projects, and RSO’s leadership roles to conferences. Each and every experience helped me to excel in my carrier and personal life following graduation.
